Dit is ten dele waar. Consumenten luisteren nog wel, maar het liefst naar elkaar en steeds minder naar adverteerders. Reclame heeft merken doofstom en ongeloofwaardig gemaakt. Nu de klant aan het roer staat, zien adverteerders zich uitgedaagd het verloren gegane vertrouwen te herwinnen, de directe dialoog aan te gaan en goed te luisteren.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Onze oren willen wel, maar ons hoofd zit er steeds tussen<\/strong><br \/>\nLuisteren naar je klanten, het klinkt zo vanzelfsprekend. Maar hoe vaak doe je het? Dan bedoel ik niet alleen reactief luisteren, bijvoorbeeld wanneer een klant zich tot je wendt met een vraag of een klacht. Ik bedoel ook proactief, door de klant te benaderen, vragen te stellen en heel aandachtig te luisteren naar wat de klant je te zeggen heeft. Met maar \u00e9\u00e9n doel: \u00e9cht willen weten wat de klant denkt, voelt en wat hem beweegt. In de praktijk blijkt dit lastig, omdat we wat klanten zeggen relativeren, bagatelliseren of negeren. Luisteren is lastig. Onze oren willen wel, maar ons hoofd zit er steeds tussen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zwijgen is zilver, luisteren is goud<\/strong><br \/>\nAls je erin slaagt je hoofd uit te schakelen en je voor even volledig over te geven aan je klant, kom je de meest waardevolle dingen te weten. Wat vindt de klant fijn en waar zit de pijn? Waarover is hij het meest tevreden? Op welke punten kunnen wij het beter doen? Op welke punten kunnen wij ons verbeteren? Waar kunnen we klantverwachtingen overtreffen? Hoe kunnen we onze klanten een excellente klantbeleving geven? Kan ons product beter? Of de verpakking? Of de bezorging? Of de service? Of de communicatie? Hoe ervaart de klant onze medewerkers, vari\u00ebrend van winkelpersoneel, call center agents, ons webcare-team tot en met de technische dienst? Waar winkelt onze klant nog meer? En waarom daar? Hoe ori\u00ebnteert hij zich, hoe vergelijkt en kiest hij? Wat moet er gebeuren om de klant gedurende langere tijd, vaker en meer bij ons te laten kopen? Hoe kunnen we onze klanten nog beter helpen en zijn leven nog makkelijker maken? Het zijn stuk voor stuk vragen waarop je klanten je graag antwoord geven. Je moet het ze alleen vragen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Het geheim van succes<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>\u201cWat is het geheim van jullie succes?\u201d<\/em> vroeg een journalist van Dallas Business Journal aan Jim Janicki, President\/CEO van het snelgroeiende Amerikaanse softwarebedrijf Ignite Technologies, Inc. Jim Janicki hoefde niet lang na te denken en antwoordde kort en krachtig: <em>\u201cWe luisteren naar onze klanten en anticiperen op wat zij willen.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\nSuccesvolle bedrijven onderscheiden zich van hun concurrenten door hun vermogen te luisteren naar klanten en te anticiperen op wat zij willen.
