Precies: je klant zelf. Dat verklaart waarom elke klant dol is op zijn eigen naam. En waarom je de naam van je klant effectief kunt gebruiken.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nutella<br \/>\n<\/strong>Nutella in Belgi\u00eb lanceerde onlangs op Facebook een succesvolle actie met een gepersonaliseerd label voor op je pot Nutella. Bezoekers die de Facebook-pagina van Nutella leuk vonden, konden via Facebook een gepersonaliseerd label bestellen voor hun pot Nutella. Deze actie leverde Nutella binnen korte tijd meer dan 155.000 likes op. Niet alleen gekken en dwazen schrijven hun namen op deuren en glazen.<\/p>\n<p>Het gebruik van de naam van je klant werkt niet alleen bij consumenten. Het is net zo effectief in business-to-business. Gebruik de naam van je klant waar je maar kunt: in persoonlijke gesprekken, in correspondentie of op een cadeautje. Hoe persoonlijker, hoe beter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Harvard<br \/>\n<\/strong>Als marketing manager bij de toenmalig uitgever van het kwartaaltijdschrift Harvard Holland Review was ik verantwoordelijk voor de werving van nieuwe abonnees. We testten diverse incentives ofwel het cadeautje dat een nieuwe abonnee krijgt bij zijn hooggeprijsde abonnement: vari\u00ebrend van Harvard-boeken, een begerenswaardige Harvard-stropdas tot een pen. Het winnende abonneegeschenk bleek een 18 karaat gouden Cross-pen. In de Cross-pen werd de naam van de abonnee gegraveerd. Dit maakte het geschenk in de ogen van de ontvanger zo waardevol dat de secretaresse van een van onze captains of industry de uitgeverij belde met de vraag of de Cross-pen van meneer X naar zijn priv\u00e9-adres kon worden gestuurd. De uitgever testte daarna nog vele andere incentives, maar de gepersonaliseerde Cross-pen bleef jarenlang de winnaar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Starbucks<br \/>\n<\/strong>Starbucks geeft de naam van de klant een prominente plaats in de bediening van klanten. Als je bij Starbucks iets bestelt, vraagt de medewerker ook wat je naam is. Vervolgens wordt je bestelling in orde gemaakt, je naam wordt erop geschreven en je naam wordt genoemd. Het zorgt er niet alleen voor dat je de juiste bestelling krijgt. Belangrijker nog: je voelt je als klant persoonlijk herkend.
